As a very special treat last week (and a great addition to our current instruments theme) Marko and his dad, Dejan, shared their knowledge of Serbian instruments and their amazing talents.
Dejan showed and played three Serbian instruments that are from the Tamburitza family (long-necked lutes).
The prim is the smallest lute and has the highest sound.
The song played on the video is called “Cardas”.
The bas-prim is the medium sized lute and the largest
Marko and Dejan sang a beautiful song together in Serbian called “"Deca su ukras sveta" (which means "Children are an Adornment of the World"). You can see and listen here:
